“Take Another Look”

“But we are able to overcome all these things and more through his love.” ~ Romans 8:37 (BBE)

At times as we develop as Christians we run into trials and situations that don’t always agree with our desires. Even though sometimes struggles and storms make our faith grow, they can make us blame ourselves for things that were out of our control. It’s NOT your fault. One of the hardest things to do as a Christian at times is realize “I am not going through “this” because I sinned or am hiding sin.” As a personal struggler with “self-condemnation” I can look back through my Christian walk and see so many ways where I have been self-condemning and even to the point where I was scared to make decisions based on the idea that “this might not be God’s will.” Self-condemnation is something that not only destroys a Christian, but contaminates all other aspects of that person’s life. It’s hard to be free of too, but God will and can.

There are times where we may “get what we deserve” in some ways, if I was to hurt you, there is a chance you may hurt me back. However, there are times where we are not in trouble because of us. I know to those struggling with this how devastating it can be. It can hinder, hurt, and stop the fruit that God desires. Remember, when you face trials and encounter things that are beyond your comprehension to take another look back at all the other times where you thought “I won’t make it.” I know it may be tough right now, you may not see your way out, you may not even THINK there IS a way out, but there is. The Christians hope is in Heaven, but the Christians call is in Earth. Don’t you dare think about suicide, there is too much invested in you to walk away from your great purpose, calling and destiny. There are people out there who are designed to hear the Gospel through you. You love God. Don’t think of suicide. You LOVE God. Your calling is on Earth; your hope is for Heaven. As you live, live for Him.

Look again; look back at all the trials and circumstances you went through over the years. Take another look. Satan wants you to gaze at the problem until you are in literal despair, wanting to die, but take another look back. God loves you so much, don’t think of suicide. God sees more to this than you and God will never allow Satan’s plans to work, but they will appear that way. I love you. If you need to talk to someone I am here for you, no matter who you are. You might not even have me added, but just stumbled on this, and I’m here to talk. You will be free. You will receive hope. You will have more love, kindness, faith and wisdom. You will endure. You will live. You will fulfill your calling. You will live in joy and peace. YOU WILL SURVIVE. YOU ARE BORN (again) TO SURVIVE.

Here is your promise: “No weapon that has been made to be used against you will succeed. You will have an answer for anyone who accuses you. This is the inheritance of the LORD'S servants. Their victory comes from me," declares the LORD.” ~ Isaiah 57:14 (GW)

Father, I come to You in Jesus Name thankful that God, You can handle “this.” Lord, I take my mind, hands and focus off “this” and place it on the love of Jesus Christ. God, I pray that You alter my mind to the point where I am back in the peace I used to have. Lord, search my heart and begin massive healing, massive deliverance and massive blessings. Lord, I pray for blessings to over-take me, no matter what they are. Lord, let Your will be done in my life and free me from self-condemnation and destroy suicidal thoughts hitting people all over this world, let no weapon formed win against Your people in Jesus Name! AMEN!
